4 Steps for Gym With Meditation

It is a myth that spirituality can be imbibed only by emptying meditations. We believe that the person who is doing meditation and inclined towards spirituality is away from physical pleasures. In addition, we think a person doing meditation should sit alone closing his eyes rather doing any other activity.

Easy Meditation Tips

But the fact is meditation and spirituality are ingrained in our day-to-day life. Meditation is nothing but creating the awareness about your body, mind and emotions. For creating that awareness it is not mandatory for one to be in a particular state of mind performing some rituals. Hence, one can be aware of oneself without any extra efforts.

Meditation

Different Stages of Intelligence

In the earlier era, the humanity was confined to the perspective of physical power known as a physical quotient. It means that more the physical power, stronger the human is. To be precise it is referring to the era of primitive society. Then as the society evolved the intellect took the upper hand. The focus was now more on intelligence quotient (IQ). All the organizations test IQ and take a decision on the person’s intelligence. More the IQ, perception is better in the person.

Meditation

As the society evolved more, thinking tanks realized that only IQ is not sufficient. The more important parameter is the EQ means emotional quotient. The emotional body is much stronger than the mental body. When emotions like anger, anxiety, ecstasy disgust etc. prevail then the mental body goes aside.

Therefore, it is clear that though EQ plays a very important role it is the spirituality which supersedes everything. It is the spirituality quotient what we call SQ is the most important parameter. It is impossible for a person to have good SQ but low EQ and IQ. In other words, SQ is the master. SQ controls PQ, IQ, and EQ.

Develop Intelligence

SQ is the connection with the universal intelligence and nobody is bigger than the universal intelligence. Hence the importance of SQ is to make oneself come out of the myths associated with spirituality and meditation. One can be meditative and have a spiritual mind when they are doing their routine work or doing work out in a gym.

Spirituality in Weight Training-An Intelligent Way

Now let’s discuss the technique of doing weight training in a spiritual and meditative way. We will discuss four steps. These steps are very scientific and results can be overwhelming. These techniques help you to work on your PQ (physical quotient) and connect you to spiritual intelligence. The spiritual intelligence helps you to derive best of your workout. Another best thing about this technique is to harness the benefits of being connected with universal power.

Workout

Step One: Set your goals for doing that particular workout. For example, you want 15 repetitions of biceps with 5 Kg dumbbell.

Step Two: Before picking up the dumbbell, take a deep breath and mentally rehearse the whole workout in your mind’s eye. It means you are running a mental movie that you have picked up the dumbbell and doing the workout. Rehearse this movie in your mind once or twice till it is very clear.

Step Three: Now pick the dumbbell and do the biceps exercise being fully aware of your breathing, your body and especially the muscles of your arm especially Biceps.

Step Four: While doing repetitions and being fully aware there will come to a point that your muscles get tired and start signaling you minor discomfort.

Making Spiritual Quotient a Practice

This is the catch point you can say honeymoon moment when you can focus all your awareness on that point of discomfort. Now you can play with that point either by advising that point that it can do more repetitions or you can get your awareness detached from the point of discomfort and take it to your mind eye from there you can command your body to perform more.

Either of these strategies or alternate play with these two strategies can help you to increase the awareness of your body and mind and at the same time improve the performance of your workout. You can connect with this technique for any muscle or any workout.

Keep on trying these steps and sooner you will realize the power of your subconscious inner mind. You will be blessed with great harmony of your mind, body and spirit. As we know that any new technique is resisted by the mind so when you are doing it for initial days just play with it. Meditation and spirituality are all about being playful and awareness about your mind and body.
