Dr. Arvinder Singh Explains the Scientific Importance of the “Gold Standard” Test for Diabetes Diagnosis at Ahmedabad Program
Dr. Arvinder Singh, CEO of Arth Diagnostics and a three-time world record holder, delivered an important scientific lecture at a prestigious academic program organized by the Gujarat Association of Pathologists & Microbiologists in Ahmedabad. The session focused on the topic “Role of Modern HPLC in Diabetes Diagnosis”, where Dr. Singh highlighted the latest advancements in diagnostic technology and research-based precision testing.
Explaining the challenge in diabetes monitoring, Dr. Singh said that blood sugar reports often show fluctuations and variations, which may create confusion in evaluating long-term glucose control. That is why doctors recommend the HbA1c test, which helps measure the average blood sugar level of the last three months.
However, Dr. Singh shared that traditional HbA1c testing methods have certain limitations, and in some cases, they may not deliver the desired accuracy. Such inaccuracies can directly affect clinical decision-making and patient treatment outcomes.
Dr. Singh highlighted that HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) is considered a Gold Standard method because it measures HbA1c with high accuracy through charge-based separation. This scientific approach provides reliable results and helps ensure correct diagnosis, precise treatment, and prevention of long-term complications in diabetes patients.
He further informed that Arth Diagnostics, Udaipur, has been regularly using HPLC-based HbA1c testing, allowing diabetes patients across Southern Rajasthan to access international-standard diagnostic services locally. This initiative is being seen as a significant milestone in the direction of precision diagnostics.
Dr. Singh also noted that Arth Diagnostics has been awarded Double NABH and NABL certifications, reflecting the organisation’s strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and reliable reporting standards.
The pathologists and microbiologists present at the conference appreciated Dr. Singh’s scientific clarity, clinical relevance, and simple explanation style. The lecture was not only a technical knowledge-sharing session but also an inspiring discussion shaping the future approach of diabetes diagnosis.
On this occasion, Anil Jotwani (Head, TransAsia) and the Association President honoured Dr. Arvinder Singh for his contribution.
